I am thinking of starting a new website, a forum of sorts where people who
are going to/coming from Eretz Yisroel could post and connect with people
needing things brought to/from E"Y, helping many more people do chesed and
get things that might be expensive or hard to ship/get to Israel any other
way.
My question is, if enough people knew about this site and it was quite
active, would this be a useful free service to the frum community at large?
My only reservation is the possibility of problems like the poor bochurim in
Japan (IY"H they should have a speedy release). I would propose that any
schlepping arrangement would require some sort of reference checking (name
of shul, rav, personal reference)
I would really like to know if this is a good idea. Please give me your
